Crew Leaders lead by example. They must create and initiate teamwork between crew members by communicating effectively on the job site. They must ensure the crew will complete the job with quality and within a time limit.

Installation Crew Leader



Compensation:
$21.00-$27.00 per hour (based on experience)


Hours:
Full time, 7:00a-3/3:30p* Mon-Fri, 30m lunch (no weekends) 

*most work days end around 3p, occasionally some days may run longer. 


Benefits:

Job Description: 

  • Enhance landscapes by planting trees, shrubs, and perennials. 
  • Install Xeriscapes: convert lawns to colorful New Mexico plants.
  • Lay fabric and install gravel/boulders, modify irrigation systems
  • Build small retaining walls, lay flagstone or pavers
  • Install compost and lay sod.
  • Landscape clean up: prune, hedge, pull weeds, and blow debris 
  • Consistent movement of bending and lifting daily


Job Requirements: 

  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
  • Experienced in using landscape equipment: bobcat, trenchers, sod cutters, chainsaw, mowers, blowers, and trimmers.
  • Completion of quality work within assigned timeframes
  • Positive attitude, hard worker, and works well with team members.
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
  • Have oversight of 1-2 crew members at a time (1 is most common).
  • Keep crew on schedule, convey job requirements, and promote teamwork.
  • Must have a good attitude, great work ethic, and ability to learn and teach new skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Communicate effectively, in English, and interface with property owners in a professional manner.
  • 5 years of landscape experience with 2 years as Crew Leader with a licensed landscape company.
  • Provide 1 professional reference from a previous employer/supervisor
